2017 predicted to be a year of fortune for Express Entry Applicants

Posted on January 11, 2017

After two years of introduction to the Express Entry system, January 2017 brought in a historic increase in the number of ITAs issued in the Express Entry Draw. The latest draw conducted on January 11, 2017 which is suppose to be the second draw of the year, passed the 3,000 mark in the number of ITAs issued. During this draw, over 3,334 applicants whose CRS was 459 points and more received the ITA for Canada PR. While the start of this year brought in good number of ITA, it also brought a gradual decrease in the cut off CRS score- being recorded as the lowest CRS score since last February.

As immigration is one the major elements the Canadian government currently depends upon to fill in the country’s skills gap and the two Draws of January invited a good number of applicants, 2017 seems to be a promising year for applicants in the Express Entry Pool and also for the ones ready to apply. To reach the 2017 economic immigration target level, IRCC representatives have confirmed that the number of ITAs shall eventually increase. Sources reveal that applicants who haven’t filed their applications must not delay as Immigration rules are unpredicted. While the improvements seem great now, it is unpredictable when the tables may turn down. To get the benefits of a quick success, initial months of 2017 should not neglected and must be considered the right time to file the application.
