Applications after CSQ must be submitted within 60 days now, says Quebec Immigration

The Quebec Immigration department has announced a new norm of submitting the final PR application after receiving CSQ. The applicants of Quebec skilled worker visa program are now required to submit the application within 60 days instead of 90 days.

A similar pattern was followed by Express Entry until the authorities found that the 90-day period is causing too many hindrances to the visa process.

Along with this, the department also announced 2 measures that would be a benefit to a quicker process:

  1. The Expression of Interest of applicants whose profile is currently in the bank of Quebec Skilled Worker Program will remain valid for an extra 6 months.
  2. EOIs of candidates who decline an ITA for a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) will be able to have their profiles remained in the bank for a full validity period.

All these 3 measures are taken to help the Quebec government and the applicants in various ways. The Quebec Government said that these measures will take effect immediately from June 26, 2019.
