BC PNP’s 2nd Skilled Draw of 2019: New Invitations issued to Tech-Pilot OccupationsPosted on January 10, 2019
The BC PNP conducted its second skilled draw and invited 35 migrants under the tech-pilot occupations. The invitations were provided to the candidates who had their employment opportunity listed in the 32 key technology occupations.
In the year 2017, the Tech Pilot Program of the BC PNP has come into effect for supporting the British Columbia technology. The program aimed to attract skilled foreign workers to the province. With an extension till June 2019, the BC PNP or British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program plans to invite employers for its future staffing needs.
However, the invitations were issued to the applicants who were having a valid job opportunity in one of the 29 key tech occupations. Anyhow, there are differences in the required minimum points for each category.
- EEBC – Invitations were provided to Skilled Workers with 85 minimum points.
- EEBC – Invitations were provided to International Graduates with 95 minimum points.
- SI – Invitations were provided to Skilled Workers with 85 minimum points.
- SI – Invitations were provided to International Graduate with 95 minimum points.
Additionally, the candidates who have got selected under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate of the Express Entry BC received extra 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This score boosts the candidate’s profile in receiving faster Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.
The candidates who have got invited through the Skills Immigration, Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories will get their application processed outside the Express Entry System.
