On 16th January, the British Columbia PNP has conducted a draw and provided 316 Invitations to Apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination to the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration candidates. The draw followed the tech-specific draw of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) which issued 35 invitations to candidates with a 1-year job offer in a priority occupation on 9th January.
The latest draw has successfully issued invitations to candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories of the Skilled Immigration streams and Express Entry BC. However, few infinite numbers of invitations were also provided to the Skilled Immigration: Entry Level and Semi-Skilled categories.

The Express Entry BC Stream is coordinated with Canada’s Express Entry System. Express Entry System, which is an electronic platform manages Canada’s three federal economic immigration categories, namely:
Express Entry Candidates who have received a Provincial Nomination through the British Columbia PNP draw received an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This score increases the candidate’s chances for obtaining a faster ITA for Canada Permanent Residency in mere Canada Express Entry Draws.
The candidates who have obtained a nomination from the BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream get their application for Canada PR are processed outside the Express Entry System by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
