British Columbia PNP’s Tech Pilot invites Express Entry BC & Skills Immigration candidates

The British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot has issued a total of 45 Invitations to Apply for candidates belonging to the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration. The British Columbia PNP’s Tech Pilot was launched in 2017 to facilitate immigration applications for the eligible foreign worker with an employment opportunity in one of the 29 in-demand technology occupations.

The draw followed its lowest score as 85 for Skilled Worker candidates in the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC streams. However, to be eligible under this Express Entry BC categories, candidates have to first launch their applications in the federal Express Entry system. Also, the stream requires experienced entrepreneurs who are ready to manage and invest business in BC.

The Express Entry is an electronic process which manages the pool of candidates for Canada’s Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

The candidates who are nominated through the Express Entry BC Stream receive an additional 600 score towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.

The candidates invited through the British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot on 23rd January were required to create a profile with the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) to start their process.

The SIRIS points-based system evaluates the candidate’s eligibility on factors such as education, work experience, and language proficiency.

Additionally, the candidates belonging to the British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot are excused from the undetermined full-time job requirement. But, the candidates have to demonstrate employment which lasts for at least 1-year of duration and have minimum 120 days remaining on the job while processing the application for provincial nomination.

The Invitation to Apply received through the British Columbia PNP is not similar to the Invitation to Apply, or ITA received through the federal programs.

Hence, to determine your eligibility under the Provincial Nominee Programs, you can enroll in our free visa assessment form and our expert Canada immigration consultants will be soon in touch for further assistance. For a quick query, call @ 040-40307077.
