Canada immigration Processing System has become fasterPosted on August 18, 2018
Immigration, Refugees and Citizen Canada (IRCC) in its recent press release has provided the details of the new projected processing times system, applicable to the below permanent residence applications.
- Start-up Visa
- Provincial Nominal (Non-Express Entry)
- Sponsorship of Parents and Grandparents
- Quebec skilled workers
- Humanitarian and compassionate cases
The prospective applicants will be able to view the projected processing time to the above program as to how long their application is expected to take (under normal circumstances), specific to the particular day they apply. IRCC has pledged that it will update processing time on a monthly basis.
Ahmed Hussen, Canada’s immigration Minister recently shared this update as to why this new projected processing time method is an important update. And how it will ensure immigration processing times are as accurate as possible. That’s not all; the above update will help the visa applicants to prepare in a better manner to move to Canada if their application gets approved.
Prior to this update, the IRCC use to forecast, the processing times, of all applications to Canadian Permanent residence based on the historical data. The above practice ensured that processing times were determined as to how long it took IRCC to process 80% of applications in the past year.
Generally the applicant’s processing time starts on the day IRCC gets the complete application and ends on the date when the decision is made.
If the applicant submits his/her application through the mail, the processing time begins on the day the application arrives in the IRCC mailroom. Similarly, if the applicant submits his/her application at a service point which is approved, the processing time begins, when the application gets submitted to the immigration officer.
No more Backlogs and shorter processing times
With the introduction of new processing time method, IRCC aims to serve applicants of the permanent resident as well as temporary resident applicants in a better manner who are looking to study, work or visit in Canada.
IRCC always strives to find new innovative ways to process applications at the same time it also ensures to maintain good customer service. That’s not all; it also makes certain, that it meets allocated admission targets depending on the multi-year immigration level plan.
Nearing to all cases, the processing time depends on
- Whether the application is complete
- Submission of type of application
- How fast the IRCC expects to process an application in the system
- How much ease applicant’s information can be verified
- How much time the applicants takes to respond to any of the concerns or request and
- Other factors
This new development by the Canadian Government reflects its commitment to process immigration applications in a faster and transparent manner.
The above news was received by the visa applicants with cheers, as they now will be able to have a clearer picture about the processing times for Canadian PR.
