According to the report, the Express Entry-linked Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream held a draw on 26th November 2018 and issued 185 ITAs for permanent residency to Express Entry candidates. It is the first invitation round of the linked stream since 9th August 2018.
The candidates who have received an ITA made their application launch between 1st January 2018 and 22nd November 2018. Also, their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score ranged from 350 to 448 and a job offer was however exceptional for Human Capital Priorities Stream.
The linked stream grants the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program for searching candidates from Express Entry to replace their skilled labour. These selected candidates receive a nomination and an additional 600 points towards their CRS score. With this CRS score increase, they are assured for receiving an ITA in future Express Entry draws.
During an update, the OINP stated that, “targeted search was done to help Ontario meet its labour market and economic development priorities, as well as to be more responsive to employer needs”.
The two more linked streams are French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream and Skilled Trades Stream. These streams fulfill the requirement to OINP from Federal Express Entry System. For the year 2018, the three streams of OINP have successfully provided 95% of their allocation from the PNP. And, the applications which have been submitted for the 26th November 2018 draw will be considered for 2019’s OINP nominations.
When considering the targeted candidates for these streams, the last three draws concentrated candidates with an employment from Ontario, and the fourth for candidates with French proficiency. Also, two of the draws had a CRS drop to 351and the rest two draws which targeted for an employment had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score drop to 350.
On 26th November 2018, the Skilled Trades performed a draw for issuing 181 ITAs and the French-Speaking Skilled Worker draw provided 43 ITAs on 22nd November 2018. Among them, the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream has worked the extreme by conducting draws almost for every week.
Moreover, to get considered, the candidates need to be eligible for either Federal Skilled Worker Class or the Canadian Experience Class. Then, the candidates from the Express Entry Pool are selected based on their requirements for Canadian Permanent Residency.
