According to the Ontario’s Express Entry- linked French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream, 13 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination were issued on 13th December. The total month-to-date invitations through the French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream have reached to 58 invitations in December.
The Ontario PNP stream has been active for the 2018 and has successfully issued 1,609 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) or invitations through the draws. Also, in the month of November, the NOIs issue was seen during five occasions by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
The majority of NOIs have been issued through the Ontario’s three Express Entry-linked streams, including the Human Capital Priorities and Skilled Trades streams.
The candidates who have received their Notification of Interest through the Ontario PNP can successfully apply for a provincial nomination. Also, they are granted with additional 600 points for their Comprehensive Ranking System score. This additional score boosts the candidate’s position in the Express Entry Pool and guarantee’s for receiving an Invitation to Apply for Canadian Permanent Residency.
For the French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream, the OINP selects the eligible French-speaking candidates from the Express Entry Pool. Also, the candidates have to be from either Federal Skilled Worker Class or the Canadian Experience Class. Then, the candidates meeting the eligibility and requirements of the provincial criteria are provided with a Notification of Interest (NOI) from the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program.
Since, the province has a large francophone minority population, the province admits to increasing the francophone immigration by 5 percent from total immigration to the French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream.
