The federal government is cracking down on immigration it is evident, it has scrapped the 457 visa and tighter conditions are levied for skilled migration.
The Department of Home Affairs has confirmed that no longer police checks are essential.
Any applicant who is sponsored by an accredited sponsor, they need not get police certificates from nations other than Australia provided they attach a reference in written format from their accredited sponsor confirming the applicants are of good character and have never been convicted before for any criminal offences.
However, applicant’s if asked to provide Australian police clearances where applicable or when requested to do so must oblige.
