The increasing demand for skilled graduates in the technology sector of the British Columbia has forced the BC Government to look into faster solutions of immigration. For that very reason, British Columbia, as a part of its British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) introduced a new Tech Pilot program of immigration.
This new pilot program is specifically for Tech professionals with a job offer in any of the 32 eligible occupations (refer table below). Candidates with the required job offer will be invited to apply for PNP, by which they increase their score and chances for a quick visa success. Moreover, such applications of Tech professionals shall be processed on a priority basis.
To be eligible for this, applicants need a full-time job offer from an eligible employer of British Columbia. Post receiving his offer, he can apply for BC PNP Applicants require a full-time, indeterminate job offer from an eligible employer in BC. The BC PNP offers different categories for individuals under its registration System, depending on their job, work experience, and level of education. Once the candidate selects his category, he can register online for free and receive his registration score. Subjected to processing capacity, BC PNP will conduct a tech draw each week and invite applicants with the highest technology sector registrant score. Once they are invited, candidates have 30 days time to submit a complete online application under this program, by paying a government application fee of $700.
