Ontario, second largest province in the Maple leaf nation, issues about 977 invites through its both streams, Express Entry-Aligned French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream and Entrepreneur Stream.
In a recent update published on 24th August, this year, around 15 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) were issued to Express Entry candidates under French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) Stream by Ontario on 23rd August. Earlier on 16th August, 31 NOI was issued under the same stream.
By conducting the above draws, the total invites issued through FSSW stream were 977 in 2018.
The above province has been issuing invites regularly, this year under this stream, for French Speaking applicants, in the federal government’s Express Entry System, who posses strong English language abilities.
The federal government’s Express system manages the candidates’ profiles in Canada’s three main economic immigration categories; they include the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Canadian Experience Class and the Federal Skilled Trades Class.
The candidates, to qualify for Ontario’s FSSW stream, they must be eligible for either the Federal Skilled Worker Class or the Canadian Experience Class. That’s not all; they must have a Canadian Language Benchmark minimum 7 in French and 6 in English, among other criteria specified.
There exist no minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement for the FSSW stream and Express Entry applicants who are nominated by the Ontario province receive an extra 600 points towards their CRS score.
New invitations from Entrepreneur Stream
On August 20th, Ontario province announced the issuing of 21 new invitations to apply under its Entrepreneur Stream.
Since 29th, August 2016, the candidates getting a score as low as 110 got an invite from the draw through this stream.
