The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) for Ontario province and it is a popular program. For the year 2018, the OINP program has met its annual allocation limit. This year the OINP has issued 6,600 invites across different streams as per the allotted quota.

It was a year of excitement for provincial government as well as for the selected candidates and got a chance to settle in Ontario. The new applications and applications already submitted to Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) would be considered under 2019 OINP’s nomination allocation, except for Master Graduate Stream.

The Government of Ontario and the Federal Government have partnered through IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) to operate OINP. This program reviews each of the application submitted and nominates candidates for Canada Permanent Residence (PR). All those individuals who receive a nomination from OINP can apply for Canada PR through IRCC. The IRCC makes a final decision on each application and also issues successful applicants the Canada PR visa.

Ontario is also known to be a vibrant province in entire Canada. It is a hub for few of the top cities, including Ottawa- the capital of Canada. Each year, IRCC allocates a fixed number of nomination quota to the Ontario province similarly, other provinces also have a specific number of nomination quota. The IRCC allocates lion share for Ontario province. During the previous year OINP got 6,000 allocations from the Federal Government and for the present year, the number increased to 6,600.
