Ontario Masters Graduate Stream resumes 1000 graduate applications

Posted on March 7, 2019

The Ontario’s Masters Graduate Stream resumed its application intakes on 5th March 2019. But, the stream got closed up in not more than 2 hours due to a technical issue.

Before the day of the intake, Ontario announced to accept 1,000 applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. Since the Stream shut due to technical issue within 2 hours, we are unaware of the intake target if reached before the technical issue or not.

What is Ontario’s Masters Graduate Stream?

Ontario’s Masters Graduate Stream is a popular pathway chosen by the international graduates for Canada Permanent Residence. The stream doesn’t mandate the candidate for having a job offer.

You can apply for this stream with a master’s degree obtained from a certified University of Ontario. You can then appeal through them for a nomination from the Ontario province for Canada PR. This stream was before opened in the last year of April. The quota limit of this stream met in less than an hour in its April 2018 intake.

The registration process is the first step for an international student. This registration with the Master’s Graduate stream helps them for obtaining an Ontario provincial nomination for Canada PR status. Your successful enrollment with this stream will provide you an opportunity to give a comprehensive appeal for a nomination in 14 days.

However, to be eligible under this stream you need to live in Ontario with legal status. You won’t be eligible to apply for this Masters Graduate Stream if you are living out of the province of Ontario.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) offers two types of immigration programs for international students – Stream of Masters Graduate for Graduates and Ph.D. Graduate Stream for Ph.D. Graduates from eligible Ontario universities.

The provinces of Canada offer great opportunities for their international students to get settled as Canada Permanent Residents. If you are also planning to get an education from Canada, then you need to migrate to Canada with a Canada Study Visa.
