For students who make a great immigrant population of the United States, assistance and support are being provided in matters related to their visa concerns. The American Association of Universities, in association with a few of the Ivy League University members, will be providing legal assistance to international students, studying in its 25 institutions members. This initiative is a helping hand for students during the uncertain times which have emerged due to immigration restrictions by President Donald Trump.

Sources reveal that the AAU will join other organizations like Silicon Valley and approach the US Congress Deputies to address the economic impacts of US immigration restrictions and the concerns affected by the same. The January 27 ban imposed on six countries regarding travel or immigration to the US, not only affected the ones planning for a life and career in the US but also did a massive struck to the ones with visas and to the ones in the process of their visas. Though India did not face any such imposition, Yale University, a part of the Ivy League Universities, is ensuring that Indian students and students from various countries of the world are not deterred from pursuing their education in the United States. Statistics show that after China, a majority of students from India chose Yale University for their higher education in United States- which is approx. 2000 Indian students per academic year.
