Prince Edward Island is the smallest province; recently it has issued new invites to applicants for the provincial nomination in its Labour Impact, Express Entry (EE) and Business Impact categories.
The above province’s office of Immigration issued:
The EE applicants who desire to be considered under the Province’s Expression of Interest system should create a profile in the PEI system. The profiles are then reviewed as well as assigned points based on six selection factors such as age, language, work experience, employment, education and adaptability.
Under the PEI Express Entry stream, the Express Entry candidates who have got invites have about 90 days time from the invitation date to submit a complete application to the province’s office of immigration. All those applicants who are nominated by PEI tend to receive additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, thus enabling them to be in good position to get an invite to apply for Permanent Resident (PR) of Canada.
The PEI’s Labour Impact Category is for those individuals who got skills as well as the experience needed in PEI’s labour market. The above category is divided into three streams
Presently Controversial Business Stream is Closed
During the last week, the Government of Prince Edward Island made an announcement that 20th September would be the final invite round for business impact category for 100% Ownership as well as Partial Ownership Streams, the above category has been mired in controversy.
The streams enable the applicants to get nominated for Permanent Residency by PEI in exchange for opening a business in the Province. Investigations revealed, many of them after getting PR status they never opened a business.
The above Island states that it would maintain the Business Impact Category’s Work Permit Stream, which issues the immigrant entrepreneurs, temporary work permit to begin their business and it would nominate the above individuals for Canadian Permanent Residence, once the terms of their performance agreement are met.
