The Embassy of United Arab Emirates recently announced the opening of three consular offices in India. According to the Gulf news, this announcement was made on December 7 via email. It said that these offices would be stated soon in Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Chennai with an aim to ease visa obtaining for people of these areas. There are currently three consular offices of UAE located in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kerala. With the opening of three more new consulate offices, the travel factor may cut down for people to reach these offices.
It is also stated that the Embassy introduced a mobile application for Indians and travelers of the Emirates. In this context, the UAE Ambassor to India, Dr Ahmad Al Banna said that the newly introduced app would be of a great navigating tool for travellers. He also add that this app would support and aid necessary information to over 2.8 million Indian travellers, especially the blue-collar workers who are residing in the UAE.
This app will have crucial destinations mentioned along with guidance to reach them. Moreover, through this app nationals of UAE will be provided with an emergency assistance during their journey to India. They can also report passport loss or any related issues through the same app linked to a service name Twajudi. Likewise, Indians will have a benefit to access information about their visa attestation through this app. This app is available by the name of UAE Embassy, New Delhi on Apple App Store and Google Play store.
Gulf news states that this initiative gives a glimpse of the growing bilateral ties between UAE and India. According to the several sources, with an aim to strengthen the ties from India, the Indian Prime Minister would visit UAE for a couple of days during the month of February. This would be Modi’s second trip to the UAE, with a gap over over two years.
